Top Ten Tuesday (86)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Broke and the Bookish!

Top Ten Characters I Want to Check In With
WARNING: there’s DEFINITELY going to be spoilers in this TTT post if you haven’t read any of these books yet! Just want to give you fair warning! I tried not to give too much away, but with the nature of this post this week, it’s hard to avoid.  I love the idea for this week’s TTT because how many times have you finished a book only to wonder what happened to the main character after the book ended?

1.  Clary and Jace (The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare)
-So this might be cheating a bit since I’m choosing two people, but I just want to know what happened with their relationship after City of Heavenly Fire! I’m crossing my fingers that Cassandra Clare will give us a few glimpses of their life in The Dark Artifices when it comes out!

2.   Skeeter (The Help by Kathryn Stockett)
-At the end of the book Skeeter moves to New York City to pursue a career in publishing after her book received lots of attention.  I’d love to hear what happened to her after she left, as well as what happened to Aibileen and Minny (who were left behind in Mississippi).

3. Gemma and Ty (Stolen: A Letter to My Captor by Lucy Christopher)
-I am probably a terrible person for admitting to this, but I LOVED Gemma and Ty. (Don’t hate me for saying that!) After reading this story (which Lucy does a phenomenal job of writing in such a way that you feel as if you are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome yourself) I always wondered what happened to Ty. Was he convicted?  Did Gemma testify against him?  What did Gemma do after she was saved?  Did she go home to live with her parents?  That book left me with SO many questions about the main characters!

4. Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini)
-What exactly DOES Eragon do after he leaves? I know Christopher Paolini mentioned he isn’t opposed to writing a sequel to this book in the future, but I want him to get going! I feel like we’ve waited long enough! I want to check in with Eragon and see what he’s up to! There is SO much potential with this one after an ending like the one in the 4th book Inheritance!

5. Leila (Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid)
- SUCH a cute story, seriously.  I would love to check in with Leila and see how she’s doing after this road trip!

6. Kenna (Kiss of Broken Glass by Madeleine Kuderick)
-After her struggle with cutting and everything she goes through at the hospital, I would really love to check in with Kenna to see how her recovery is going.

7. Ronnie (The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks)
-This is hands down one of my favorite books all time, and I desperately want to check in with Ronnie to see how she’s doing after her dad’s death, and how music school is going for her.  Also I wouldn’t mind seeing how her and Will are getting along.

8. Brit and Mason (Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick)
-Another cheat, I know, but I want to check in on this relationship so bad! After everything they went through in the mountains, it would be nice to see how their relationship is doing now that they are living semi-normal lives once again.

9. Hazel (The Fault in Our Stars by John Green)
-It was inevitable that I would bring this one up.  Hazel, I hope you’re doing ok out there!
I want to check in with Hazel so bad and find out how she’s coping!

10. Anna and St. Clair (Anna and the French Kiss #1 by Stephanie Perkins)
-I recently finished reading this book, and I want, no, NEED to know how they’re doing after they go to college! Stephanie Perkins, can we get another book where you check in with Anna and St. Clair PLEASE?!
