Top Ten Tuesday (83)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Broke and the Bookish!

I currently have a backlog of books I am trying to get caught up on, as well as a few books friends have borrowed me that they want me to read.  There never seems to be enough hours in the day! (especially during the school year)  Here are my top ten books on my spring TBR list, that I am making a priority to get to soon! What are some of yours?

Top Ten Books on My Spring TBR List

1.     Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
I preordered this and it just arrived this week! So excited for this one! (and that cover though! Has anyone else fallen completely in love with it besides me?!)
2.     All Fall Down by Ally Carter
I met Ally last month and picked up this book (which was just recently released).  I haven’t had time to start it yet, but I want to get to it ASAP!
3.     The Princess Bride by William Goldman
This was a gift from my awesome OTSP Secret Sister from last month! I haven’t had a chance to start it yet, but it’s literally taunting me sitting on my bookshelf.  This is one of those classics I’ve wanted to read for ages now, so I was so excited when I received this from my OTSP secret sis!
4.     Splintered by A.G. Howard
I bought this on World Book Day after a spontaneous midday trip to Barnes and Nobles with one of my friends! This book has been receiving a lot of attention on social media these days, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about!
5.     Dove Arising by Karen Bao
This debut book from Karen Bao is one ARC that I’ve had since last year, that I just never got to.  I met Karen at a conference in Illinois last September, and it was really cool to find out that she was my age and a college student as well! Since this book was just recently released this month, I want to make this one a priority so I can get a review up soon for it!
6.     The Shack by WM. Paul Young
One of my friends is really adamant about me reading this one.  She loaned it to me ages ago (I’m sorry I still have it Brianna!:) and I keep forgetting I have it!
7.     The Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone
This one looks really good! I’m always up for a good love story about time travel!
8.     Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld
Admittedly, this is an audiobook that I’ve been meaning to get around to and not an actual print book, but I can’t wait to start it! I’m putting it in my car this week so I remember to listen to it!
9.     Black Heart by Holly Black
This is the 3rd book from her series, “The Curse Workers” which I absolutely love!  I didn’t know there was another book in this series until Ashley told me, so I finally rented this one from the library! I can’t wait to return to this series!
10.  Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
I came in a little late to this one, I know.  It’s been on my bookshelf and I keep neglecting to start it.  After a push from a fellow blogger friend who raved about it, I said I would start it soon! (currently reading it now actually)

  1. Vanishing Girls was fantastic! I think you'll enjoy it. I have Splintered and I need to read that one--my brother gave it to my for Christmas and he keeps asking if I read it, so I better get to it! LOL. I have read The Shack and it was pretty good--it will be interesting to see what you think! Katie @ Bookish Illuminations

    1. oh good! i'm glad to hear it! i'm going to start it next week i think! actually Katie, i think i read your review on it recently, and that's what convinced me to move this book to the top of my TBR pile! and my friend will be glad to hear someone else is advocating for The Shack! she loved it! and i keep procrastinating on it! thanks for checking out my post today!!

  2. Nice list of book titles for this week. I also want to read Splintered at some point. Here's my link to my TTT for the week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2015/03/top-ten-books-on-my-spring-tbr-list.html

    1. thanks for checking out my post!!!

    2. i can't wait for splintered! the twitter hype is almost too much! it's making me want to put down my current read and pick up splintered instead!

  3. The Anna and the French Kiss series is awesome. Definitely one of my favorites. Some books on my Top Ten are Winger, P.S. I Still Love You, and Let's Get Lost.
    My Top Ten Tuesday

    1. that's what everyone keeps saying, and i started reading Anna and the French Kiss this week, and i'm having a really hard time getting into it! maybe just the beginning is slow? (at least, that's what i'm hoping!) and P.S. I still Love you is DEFINITELY getting read this spring! I didn't even THINK to add it to my list! good call on that one! i can't wait until it comes out!! thanks for checking out my post Emma

    2. I actually had a hard time getting into it too. I may be the minority here, but I think I preferred the Lola and Isla books over Anna and the French Kiss. They're all really good though.

  4. The Shack is really good, kind of sad though. I read it with a book club awhile back. :) I hope you enjoy it! Anna and the French Kiss!!!! Yayyy! I hope you're realllllyyyyy enjoying that one! <3

    1. apparently i'm behind on the bandwagon, because more people have read the Shack than i realized! prior to my friend borrowing it to me, i hadn't even heard of it! and honestly, i'm reading Anna and the French kiss right now, and it's going REALLY slow! i hope it's just the beginning! otherwise i'll be dissapointed! thanks for checking out my post!!

  5. I didn't love All Fall Down, but it was still a good read. The whole Embassy Row was really cool. I did love Anna and the French Kiss- a perfect spring book to put a smile on your face. Splintered is on my massive TBR and I do hope to get to it at some point!
