To put it simply, I adored this book! I'll be the first to admit that I have been skeptical of NA. Despite the fact that I really enjoyed Cora Carmack's Finding It, I had read a couple other NA books that I did not enjoy. My sister had raved about Colleen Hoover's Hopeless though, so when Simon Audio gave me the opportunity to review Maybe Someday I decided to take a chance.

Like I said, put simply I adored this book. However, since reviews typically require more than four words I will try to express why and how much I loved this book.

First, the opening. Maybe Someday sucks you in from the very first sentence and doesn't let you go. When a novel starts, "I just punched a girl in the face," it's hard not to get sucked in. The opening line also made me immediately love Sydney.

Which brings me to the second thing, the characters. I loved Sydney. And Ridge. And Warren. And Maggie. And even Bridget, a little.  The characters were so vibrant and real. The book is written from both Sydney's and Ridge's POV which allows readers to see what both of the main characters are feeling. The narration for both Sydney and Ridge's character were excellent. Their narration definitely added to the story and made it even more enjoyable.

The final thing, the plot. If the opening sentence sucks you in, then the entire novel is a giant tornado twirling you around. Maybe Someday is an emotional ride. It makes you sit down and really think about things. Life is all about timing but it's also about small events leading to bigger events and bigger events leading to these extremely large, life changing events. Studying inside or studying on your balcony seems like a decision that will have no effect on your life, but what if it does? What if that one decision changes everything?

I really can't praise Maybe Someday again. This book had me all over the place. It was beautiful and heartbreaking. I can't wait to read more Colleen Hoover books in the future. Maybe Someday may have been my first Colleen Hoover novel but it certainly won't be my last!
