Top Ten Tuesday (52)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the  Broke and the Bookish!

Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Ever Read

1. Shatter Me (series) by Taherah Mafi- This series is written very differently than most books I've read. The descriptions are beautiful and there are a lot of metaphors. However, the most unique thing about the series may be the strikethroughs  throughout the first two books.

2. The Arcana Chronicles by Kresley Cole- Cole creates such an unique world and story in Poison Princess and Endless Knight. It's very different from other books I've read and I LOVE it!

3. Dangerous Girl by Abgail Haas- I can't think of any YA books similar to this one. It's addicting, shocking, and a little haunting.

4. Allegiant by Veronica Roth- While I didn't love this book, I have to hand it to Veronica Roth by writing an ending that unique and unorthodox.

5. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer- Yes, you read that right. I said Twilight. I'm thinking a little outside the box tonight but it's true. I'm pretty sure that Meyer is the first to ever refer to vampires as sparkly.

6. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Lani Taylor- This book/series is so, so, so beautiful. I love the world and the descriptions. Both of these make it completely unique and enchanting.

7. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo- The world Bardugo creates is original. Her writing style is beautiful and unmatched. The character and setting set this book in a category of it's own.

Okay, there's 7. That's close enough to 10, right?

What made your top ten??

  1. Great list :) I also didn't like Allegiant, but I have seen other books with similar-ish endings. Quite a few of the others are on my TBR list, very excited to get to them all. My TTT.
