First Annual Chicagoland Vampires Spring Fling

About the Chicagoland Vampires Novels: Turned into a vampire against her will, twenty-eight-year-old Merit, the heroine of Chloe Neill’s New York Times bestselling series, found her way into the dark circle of Chicago’s vampire underground, where she learned there was more to supernaturals than met the eye—and more supernaturals than the public ever imagined. The sixth book in the series, BITING COLD, will be released on August 7, 2012.

Why I Love these Books: I first picked up Some Girls Bite at the University Supply Store while in college at the University of Alabama. I picked up all of the required books for my classes and then was browsing their book selection. I saw Some Girls Bite and picked it up. The description and cover sold me so I put it in my cart and bought it. When I got home and actually started reading it I was amazed. It was a great story with a great heroine and it was by a first time author. I can’t say enough about how much I love this series. I have read all of the books in this series and the first two in the Dark Elite series (which I also enjoyed btw) and Chloe Neill never fails to impress me with her ability to tell a great story with even great characters.
Merit is one of my favorite heroines. She strong, determined, and snarky. I love how she doesn’t take anything from anyone and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Throughout the series, she has grown as a character and I find myself loving her more with each book.
The Chicagoland Vampires is an excellent series that you must check out! The books are funny, well written, and have some kick ass characters. Oh, and I forgot to Ethan Sullivan who is a total hottie!

Did you Know?:  In the short time that she’s been identified as a witch, Mallory Carmichael, who was formerly (and still is?) Merit’s best friend, has memorized 142 spells by line and verse.

  21. I love the whole series, especially the first three. My absolute favorite would have to be Twice Bitten, when Merit and Ethan finally get together. I haven't read any of the Dark Elite series because it is YA, but I may read them someday.
