When Love Isn't Enough-Review

Since I've been reading Harry Potter and pretty much everyone in the entire universe has already read them I decided to post a review for a book I read earlier in the summer. This book is NOT Young Adult and I do not recommend it for young readers, due to the content.
Goodreads description
"Samantha's second year of college started with heartbreak and betrayal. She'd completely given up on ever finding love again until a chance encounter put her in contact with the man who would change her life.
Tony never believed in love at first sight - until he laid eyes on Samantha. But within moments of meeting her, he knew without a doubt that she was the woman he was put on this earth to love. There was only one problem - Angela, his girlfriend of five years.
Tony doesn't want to hurt Angela, with whom he shares a rich history, but his connection to Samantha is undeniable. Angela, however, is not about to let the love of her life go without a fight.
When desperation takes a tragic turn, a chain of events unfolds that changes the course of all three of their lives forever. It is a heartbreaking tale of true love, terrible timing, impossible choices, and how you find the strength to go on when you discover that, sometimes, love just isn't enough..."

My Thoughts
When Love Isn't Enough isn't the type of book I typically read. However, I loved the title and the idea of having a book that's plot line revolves around that concept so I entered to win it on Goodreads...and I won! It was the first and only book I've won on here so I was super excited about getting. Once I received it though it sat on my TBR pile for several weeks. Finally, I decided I should go ahead and read it since the author (Stephanie Casher) was nice enough to give it to me and also sign it. So I read it and....ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!!

It had everything a good book needs; a great storyline, wonderful characters, a tragic love story, and a strong lead female. Samantha and Tony's love story is real and genuine. They have the type of love that everyone dreams of having, which makes it that much heartbreaking to sit back and watch all of the complications that arise in their relationships. While I didn't agree with several of Tony's decisions I did understand why he made them. He was put in an impossible situation and did what he thought he had to do and I could understand where he was coming from. Often in relationships people feel obligated to stay with a person just because they don't want to hurt the other person but unfortunately in the end staying with someone to keep from hurting them only makes everyone involved miserable which is evident in Tony's story.

Now several days later I still think about the book which is a sure-fire sign of a great book. I am anxiously awaiting the sequel to come out and definitely recommend this book to anyone (age appropriate), even if this isn't your typical read!!

  1. I read When Love Isn't Enough in a day! The book pulled on emotions of wanting what you can't have and being locked in a loveless relationship. We all wish for fairytales and wind up with reality instead. This was a wonderful book. Great Job Stephanie Casher! This is my second The Pantheon Collective (TPC) author that I've read and I believe they have an AWESOME arsenal of talent. I can't wait for the next book!
